Yes, and sophomore Mia is the daughter/sister, came into the meet with the best 5A vault at 12-8. That event going on now or possibly already over, I wasn’t paying attention.

I, unfortunately, am back at work for the day before going up to Denver for the final day of the meet tomorrow. But today:

Anna Hall (Valor) 300H(A) 40.76 (4A, junior) state meet and state prep record

          then 10' later

Emily Sloan (Rock Canyon) 300H(A) 40.60 (5A, senior) state meet and state prep record

The 3 lowest divisions are at Hayward this weekend. Some guy won the PV and 3000.

Oregon has 6 classifications which for a state this small is idiotic....Illinois has 3.

Thats pretty incredible....Max competing in the State Meet 30+ yrs later and breaking his Dad's records.

Also, Arria Minor is no joke....wonder where she is thinking of going to college.

Can't remember if I saw this or confabulated it, but I think Arria mentioned the usual suspects....A&M, LSU, Oregon, etc. She won 5A 100, 200, and 400 as a freshman and as a sophomore, and anchored the Denver East 4x100 to a 2nd place finish both years. In 2016, she got the stick some 15m down and ran an amazing leg, almost pulling it out, losing by just 0.04.

She's also in the 100 final tomorrow, ran 11.51 to win her heat.
