      So what does this mean?
      Will he receive a ban?
      Any marks deleted?

And what happened with Ruth Jebet?
Haven't heard or seen anything since the initial report of a positive for her!

So, in Kiprop's case, he's effectively saying he was extorted, didn't pony up enough shillings, and the "testers" tainted his sample with EPO? And he doesn't have enough money to hire an attorney to prove that chain of custody was broken, which is about all it would take. This from what had to be the top earning 1500m runner of the past 10 years. Just doesn't wash.

Well, IDK, when Amantle Montsho didn't appeal the decision to ban her, her excuse was that she couldn't afford it. This after winning so many 400m races at Diamond League events. I am not sure how these monies are divvied up that would cause these people to not have money for a lawyer.

However it is a great deflection from what is likely the truth argument.

Interesting article styles 1500 m as a short distance.

I guess it is compared with what most Kenyan athletes run ...

That's true of non-athletes as well.

How much does an athlete of his stature earn a year? Bolt seemingly made millions.

Bolt is a massive outlier when it comes to the fame and earnings potential of a track and field athlete. I suspect the income of a world number 1 in another track event does make you wealthy enough if you are from a developing country to perhaps build a small school building in your village. If you are from a developed country you will probably just be making quite a good living.

Bolt was in another universe in track income....far beyond what Kiprop was getting...
