Brilliant to have SAFP back - Nobody looks as good in full-flight.

Nice PB from 20yo Lansiquot at 11.11; GBR 4x100 could be really good in the next few years with Asher-Smith, Desiree Henry coming back from injury, Daryll Neita, Imani Lansiquot.

One of her fouls was marginal, and way over 7m.

I know the men aren't throwing down 9.8x or 9.7x and Baker has been winning a lot, but I find the mens 100m super exciting since everyone in the world is so close to each other and the competition is never lacking.

BBC saying that was only the 2nd time outside a major 6 men went under 10s in a race. Post-Bolt power vacuum?

Baker surely nailed down world number 1 over 100m now. Consistently winning races week in week out.

Nice from Hughes; But I hope Prescod isnt injured after pulling out. He saw off Hughes comfotably at trials and is primed for a legal sub 10.

Tyquendo Tracey with 9.96 and 9.98 today, I think those are the first sub-10s of his career.

Event is in flux - Bolt gone, Coleman hurt, Gatlin on hiatus. Next year will be interesting. Will Lyles double? Would Coleman be healthy? Can Gatlin make another comeback? Who from the 2018 crowd will move up? The races are damn close but Baker seems to win most of them. Baker looked like he stood up a bit in this race.

Gatlin will be 37. I think Linford Christie ran 9.97 at that age.

Correct. His previous PB was 10.03 at the Athletics World Cup last weekend. And 10.12 before this season.

True. Collins ran 9.93 at 40 so there is always hope until there isn't.

We have 18/19 men right now who are sub 10 and are all within about 0.1 of each other. Yes Baker is winning most of the races, but I think because he is running his hardest and still finishing so close to everyone else, its exciting because people are within range.

The Bolt era produced extremely fast races and runs, but Bolt was so far ahead of the pack and most of the time not even running his hardest, IMO, that took out so much of the excitement from the race.

Just my opinion, I love the close finishes we have had all season in essentially every race between 3-5 guys in the 100m field.

I hope Coleman isn't injured (again)since he was a DNS...

Also last year in Lausanne Genzebe Dibaba for her WR attack required 1.02/2.05/2.36 (1000m). Intermediate times were 1.01/2.06.
Final result of both races was 4.16.
Why would anyone go out in a 61 for a race where the objective is to run around 4:15? This isn't a boy's high school race.
