According to weatherunderground website the temperature for Sept 16 at 9 a.m. (race start 9:15) is projected at 72 F (24C). And then rises to 78F.

This event is traditionally last Sunday in Sept (as will be the case for scheduled date in 2019). So why is it being held so early this year? Two weeks can mean a big difference as temps cool off thru the month.

Good point. Where I am the weather on average tends to be fairly similar to Berlin. Temperatures in the 70s are not that unusual in mid-September they are unusual at the end of the month.
