The Golden West is not the meet it use to be (one of the best high school meets in the country). Michael Carter did attend this year's meet and recorded a video interview about his high school record toss.

It once was the only game in town.
Now the high school Nationals in NC take most of the athletes - at least in the East.

It's not just New Balance Nationals, but more than a half-dozen others: Great Southwest, Brooks, adidas, etc.
