      hearing about this whole situation now and i'm just confused.

      maybe we need plasticine around the throws circle now too if it's gonna be like this

        Would probably take a certain amount of artistry to set out the ring of plasticine around the rim!

              The pressure sensor would have to be on top of ring.. it is legal to touch inside of ring..
              I don't understand one leg obscuring the other.. every meet I have ever worked at this level had a judge of both sides of ring..

                Not just that; they had a zillion cameras filming the throw from every angle and could have watched instant replay if they had doubts.
