Did anyone else see that throw on TV? To me, it looked more like 13.06.

When it landed it looked certainly over 13m but whether it was only 14 cm away from 14m didn't seem to be the case, unless the lines were wrong, and the lines looked right in the other throws.
ETA: Paused on my tv as it lands it looks like maybe 13.30-40 ish. It's in the upper half of the section between 12-14, so it does seem to be over 13m but its still a decent amount away from the 14m line. It seems near 3/4 of the way up between the 12m and 14m line. does not appear close enough to the 14m line to be 13.86m though.Last edited by dinamo; 10-02-2019, 06:28 PM.

I would need to re-watch this to be sure, but I believe the 12 and 14m lines were physical lines drawn in the field, not virtual, so if they were right to start with, they would have been right.Było smaszno, a jaszmije smukwijne...

Solid day from Thiam, nothing spectacular but got the job done no massive disasters in any event. I'm sure she'd have wanted more in the HJ but 1.95m at least level pegged with KJT. Tomorrow is a new day, and it'll certainly be a different day for KJT tomorrow being closer to Thiam than she has seemed before.
It may all come down to Thiam's elbow and if she can throw like she knows she can or if she'll be hampered because of it.

Been impressed with Preiner. I thought it'd be an Austrian bronze from Dadic, there is still the potential for a Austrian bronze just from a different source. Really impressed with Kunz as well, but her javelin and 800 aren't much to write home about so I imagine she'll start to fall away tomorrow but still seems like it'll be a great overall performance for her.

A critical factor will be how "bad" KJT is in the JT!

This 3-4-5-11 by Team USA is pretty impressive so far! I'm not very familiar with Kunz and Hawkins and did not expect them to be that high up (esp. Kunz). A bronze from any of them would be super and even top six finishes by any would be pretty cool.
