Yeah, that's what I thought as well. 1000 is clearly a bit short for her, so that's a great performance, especially in her first race of the year.

Excellent 73.61 HT mark for Katarzyna Furmanek in Kielce! She has been at the 69 meter mark for two or three years. Most of her top throws have been in Poland. But her 69.68 throw last year in Italy caught my eye. Looks like she could continue the long line of excellent Polish hammer throwers!

She broke 70 for the first time this year and it looks like she's finally had her breakthrough now. Of course if the big 3 are all in form next year, she might not even be good enough to make the Olympic team, but she is younger than all of them (born 1996), so she still has time on her side.

Very anxious for both 400's tomorrow. Great fields. Hope to see continued progress from some of the younger runners. Women's 800 looks good as well. Men's shot will be quite a test.

                    • Lisek looked like he pulled a quad on the run-up during his first attempt at 5.90, but according to his Twitter, he seems to be OK. Hopefully it's just a niggle.

                              • I was hoping Roznicki might try an 800 to get a new PR but that field is a little to big a jump in quality for him right now. I'm really excited to see Lesiewicz in the 400.
