Just in case you missed it (the local newspapers didn't mention it), there was an Olympic Development section at Stanford a few hours after the regular U.S. Open was over. Werknesh Kidane of Ethiopia set a U.S. allcomers record in the 10K, running 30:41.40. (old bes was 30:48.89 by Yoko Shibui at Cardinal Invitational last year).
