even though the next mj will not be coming from minnesota i applaud that university's effort to recruit local kids and get them to their potential. this is unlike many of the other schools who want to get athletes that are ready and experienced at the international level.

Close. Some schools will recruit local kids in the sprints and horizontal jumps - AS LONG AS THEY AREN'T WHITE.

Is that because they're white? Or is it because the other kids happen to pump out better performances? A kid who drops 10.4 or 25-footer, regardless of his race, will get recruited by everybody. Period.
