the telecast of the ncaa meet by cbs will not be until next saturday 3-5 pm EDT (noon to 2 pm PDT). that means it conflicts with the usatf meet which will be on nbc 4-6 edt (1-3 pdt). with the usatf meet being live there is no question that i will be watching the first hour of the ncaa meet then switching over to the usatf meet for the two live hours of coverage. i personally think that nbc's track coverage isn't that great, but it is much better than cbs week long tape delay programs. hey cbs show something new and dont put against another track meet which happens to be live.

The schedule conflict makes no sense. Especially for those of us who wish to tape BOTH meets, but only have one TV & VCR.Comment

Or you could tape it on one VCR -- and on your computer if you have a video TV card w/recorder. hehe

All of us should let the networks know that we prefer to have live broadcasts but if that is not possible, they should not overlap. If it is taped, then they can show it at any time. We should also let the networks know that we watch the program to see the events and not to see all those stupid interviews. Show some interviews before the meet starts(if they must), and then let's have wall to wall action.

I am going to have to tape the NCCA meet, need to see the 400m final, have to take the kids to the USATF Jr. Olympic state meet in Johnston(near Des Moines), Wish T&F got more respect in regards to TV.Comment
