University Games

Does anyone know what the USA is going to do about the University Games? I know we aren't going because it is in Korea with SARS and all ... but has anyone heard of an alternative? I have heard rumors of a meet in California to give the college kids an opportunity to do an International competition because they can't go to Korea? Anyone else heard anything?
