"Nordic event"?

On the start lists for the Oslo Bislett Games (http://www.bislettgames.com/Startliste.htm), there are two events named "Nordic event," one at 800 meters and another at 1500. I even noticed Trinity Gray was entered in the 800 event.

What the hell is a "Nordic event"?

From the looks of it, they appear to be "B" sections.

1 year I went to the Bislett Games and they had the Norway SNOWBALL throwing champs. It was amazing them chucking them close to 100 yards
