Without access to video I'm wondering what happened to Doucoure. Dead last after a 13.06 in the semi's.
With that kind of time I'm guessing he must have hit a hurdle or two real bad or something and complete got knocked off stride.

I didnt see that coming. I saw him winning though he was the obvious class of the field. What I don't understand is how he equals the world record yet his leg turn over doesn't look exceptionally fast?

Hit last hurdle and stumbled in.

Charles Allen was interviewed after and said he was cramping after his relay run(they should have not run him) but then he also went on to say that how had no problem with the COC standards. Idiot. Forgot that he was only there because he was on the relay team.

At least he's been competing regularly on the Golden League circuit (and regularly beat by Johnson), so he's not in quite the same 'hiding' category as somebody like Kenteris.
Still, that's a humongous leap in improvement for him in a single race!
It'll be interesting if he can come anywhere even in the vicinity of duplicating it post-Olympics or next year, or if it was just a star alignment Bob Beamon kind of thing.

Maybe like a defendant who represents himself in court. He needs to get a coach.

Xiang Liu had a near-perfect race: hit one hurdle and grazed over another. Extended his lead with two hurldes remaining, and had fastest split to the finish line off last hurdle. Showed exceptional power, expertise and precision in his race. Nearly flawless.

Liu obviously got a near perfect race. But he has been very consistent in GP competitions and he is only 21, so I think we will see a lot more where that came from.
