    Re: 110H Final Results

In the hurdles, has there been too much, in the last couple of years, of an emphasis on power?

I remember Skeets as being the most beautiful, technical hurdler ever! Throw in Colin Jackson, too!

Liu's technique is the most fun to watch since Neihmiah and Jackson!

Uh, he HAS run 12.92 anyway..

and 12.97 last year with 0.0 wind.

I'm talking 2004. Jim Ryun ran 3:51 in '67, does that mean he can do it today? An exagerration of course. So Johnson ran 12.97 last year- that means he's not totally out of it, and was surely headed for top 2 at Athens. But his performances this year say slightly under 13 flat at best (maybe 12.98?), not 12.91.

Oh, and in case anyone was going to start denigrating his 12.91, it was with a 0.3 wind, compared to Colin Jackson's 0.5w
