The Greeks have been at this stuff for a long time. Arguably they've won more than they've lost (especially in the early years, circa 450 BC).

So with that kind of genetic advantage, what's the Greeks' excuse for LOSING 98% of the events? Their result/genetic advantage ratio is the poorest of anybody in the Olympics!!

400 years under Turkish occupation is a winners' stuff, I guess. If people only thought before they yap!?

A minor quibble, but Gore never said he invented the Internet. He said he promoted it in the Senate, which he did.

she's on it and so is the triple jumpers. Someone tell me how much their pbs have improved this season? I think Halkia's is by over a second and the triple jumpers' is by over a meter. Huge improvements, and come at a very convenient time.

I hate jumping to cynical conclusions, but that's the way the sport is these days. I can't take any extraordinary performance for granted.

Wasn't Halkia just as Greek last year when she was running 57 for the 400H? Perhaps she became a lot more Greek over the off season and that's how she won.

Interesting fact, Halkia's hurldes PB is now faster than her outdoor open 400m PB. That's according to Carol Lewis..not sure where she digs up her facts, ..she obviously wanted that fact to hang out there for the viewer to obviously question her improvement.
