    Let's go Gopher's!!!!!!!!

I honestly don't think that Potter or Steele will make the World's team, but hey two Gopher's in the final will give me something to cheer for!

The Minnesota guys should be rooting for a very cold day for the finals.

I'm not a Gopher grad, but I got a kick out seeing it as well. 400 Final is early afternoon tomorrow : who knows, maybe a quick-moving cold front will drop down from the Gulf of Alaska.

Hey, even if one or both of them finishes in the top six, they'll make the relay team and get some good international experience...should be a great final to watch live - it'll probably take mid to low 44's to make the top three.

I don't think there's any reason either one of them couldn't make the team. I have a strong feeling that this 400 final will be slower than the NCAA final.

you are obviously wrong. tyree washington is in great form, i had no doubt he would win with a time less than 44.5. calvin did an amazing job out a lane one 44.6 it must be the fastest i have ever seen from lane one. jerome young died in the end, but at least he made the team. the two minnesota guys did well for 300 meters and will be going to paris as well on the relay pool. it is possible that either or both could run in the heats and that way will get a gold medal (assuming form holds and we win the final).

i remember mark richardson running 44.37 from lane one in oslo in 1998, beating michael johnson in the process.
