Was the NCAA meet the Bev Kerny story or a track meet. I was upset of the coverage cause the diddnt show somw key events just to show some one who doesnt even compete. Her story is cool and all but get here her own time dont delete key events like the mens 4x1 and 4x4 and 100m and 200m to show the Bev kerny story.

Re: ncaa coverage
This coverage was appalling. I can't stand it when the stations add in all the sentimental aspects and side stories. It detracts so much from the actual track meet. Also, there was a tremendous disproportionate amount of coverage on the women's events. They basically showed every event of the women that they did for the men, plus many others, like the 100, 200, 4x1, and 4x4. And, of course, the field events were non-existent. When are they actually going to show a track meet on tv, and not a soap opera?

Re: ncaa coverage
The track meet was basically LSU women vs. Texas. Although a great story, nobody cares. There were tremendous athletes and exciting events that were not shown. No wonder track is not popular in the states. As terrific as the women are, people want to see the guys battle. Their were great male specimens pulling off huge performances and it was all missed to watch Texas and LSU. It was crap.I was at the meet. One of the most exciting races was the mens 4x4. The whole crowd was standing, waiting to see if Minnasota could pull off the victory, it was a great race....the rest of the country didnt get to see it...SAD

Re: ncaa coverage
They should drop all the "power?" events. Javelin, shotput, discus, hammer throw. Very boring, plus no skill is envolved, eat what ever you want, you don't have to train every day.... These people are not even the strongest in the world. Yesterday I saw on ESPN men pulling semi trucks down a airport runway, and lifting livestock over their heads. Now that was impressive.

Adam Nelson is a Putter with a 37 inch vertical leap. You obviously know nothing about any of the throws. I'm not a thrower but I'm sure one would be ready to let you know how "un-athletic" they really are. Go away.

Re: ncaa coverage
I don't think any action had to go out the window in order to show more. They managed to "squeeze" the two 4x400 relays into the last 25 minutes of the broadcast! It should have taken ten minutes, tops. And why does a meet on tape delay have to show 30 seconds of athletes waiting to get into the blocks?
