They will probably give Webb 18 more months.

Of course since nobody cares about Track in this country it will hardly be news if Webb is dumped.

At this point it would be nice to see a 3:50 mile from webb within the next few years. Right now Webb would disappear in a sea of African 3:50 milers.

I think Nike would look foolish if they dumped Webb this early. Besides $250,000 is chump change for a hugh corporation like Nike.

i read that webbs contract is guaranteed through 2008, so nike not only wont dump webb, they cant.

I was not a very good international miler. Still I think I could have taken on Webb in my prime!!


After watching the national championships my 3:42.95
1500m PR doesn't look that bad.

I was always the guy that disappeared in the pack. At least I got on TV on day. My parent called me that day and congratulated me on my 10th place finish.
Ah, the life of a mediocre miler. Please, Webb don't let this be your future.
