    As I recall, 1958 winner Forddy (Crawford) Kennedy of Michigan State was a Scots-born Canadian citizen.

      GH is correct. Fordy won the 1958 NCAA X country on his home course at East Lansing. Ironically, he was second in the Big 10 Meet in 1958 but won it in 1959. His older brother, Henry, was a dominant X country runner also.
