    Kenyan men won five marathons over the weekend:

    Memphis, Sammy Nyamongo, 2:20:52
    Singapore, Philip Tanui, 2:17:02
    Lisbon, Philemon Kemei, 2:16:07
    Newport Beach, Andrew Musuva, 2:23:33
    Springfield (MO), Silverus Kimeli, 2:40:07

    And were second at four:

    Macau, Wilson Chepkwony, 2:17:34
    Newport Beach, Solomon Kandie, 2:24:14
    Latina (Italy), Joshua Rop Kipchumba, 2:22:05
    Springfield (MO), Shadrack Kimeli, 2:40:46

    Nine marathons this weekend (maybe more). 52 weekends of marathons a year times X number of people in each times Y weeks of training times Z miles per week equals people with a whole lot more free time than I have. I run 4 times a week x 3 miles and that's SQUEEZING it in. That represents about 20% of what most of these people are running - MADNESS!

      Note that the Kenyans didn't even finish in the top 3 at the California International Marathon in Sacramento. I don't know the results from the others, but I suspect that the 2:13:23 winning time was one of the fastest, if not the fastest, winner this weekend.
