you betcha it is awesome !
he left everyone in the dust...
allen has always been the kind of athlete that makes his feet do the talking (not his mouth mr greene and mr montgomery). you will never see him sticking out his tongue to his opponents, or yelling explitives before a race, or talking trash. i will never forget his 12.93 at the world championships in athens. the race was run at 9:15 pm and there was no wind at all. if there had been any wind he would have broken jackson's wr. well it seems like he has a chance this year, i am hoping he does it in the final in paris !

I always liked Allen - coming out of UNC - and yes, he does rise to the task. World record, I am not too certain and I believe that Garcia will be his biggest hurdle. If he and Garcia gets locked up in a good one, sparks will fly and the record (hopefully)!!

to me i think Allen Johnson and Haile Gab...i dont know how to spell his last name, are two of the classiest guys in T&F. they are always humble, let their feet do the talking, and appreciate the value of hard work. i was wondering when Allen was going to go under 13 again.

Love that guy. He was as excited as everyone else -- running around the curve slapping hands. You can never tell with celebrities, but it sure looks like what you see it what you get with him.

...just took care of business at USA nationals, but you could tell that he was fit and ready to unleash a great race and time this summer.

Or would he? Gotta rememer that the wind can be as much foe as it is friend in the hurdles. Too much aid for your stride length on a given day (which is going to vary with the hardness of the track, etc.) and you end up running into hurdles instead of clearing them smoothly. And the hurdler has no way of knowing what's up until he/she hits that first hurdle. If they're already too close, WR time isprobably already dead.

Allen Johnson is problably one of the best hurdlers of all times.
                    3 times world champion
                    2 times world indoor champion.
                    1996 olympic champion.
He went under 13.00 more than anibody else.
Besides that he is a great person, do not trash talk something that maybe made him a little forgotten by most of the media, but that is the way he is, a great role model.
I think he is in the best shape of his life and is going to get another gold in the WC in Paris and, with luck, break de WR, because he can do it and deserves that.
