    Re: Hoffa Explodes!!

My reaction to a "Hoffa Explodes" head? "Did he leave a big crater in the end zone at the Meadowlands?"

        Lol! You're right!

But a bit of intuition and a google search later, I see that Jimmy Hoffa is buried at the Meadowlands stadium. Not that it means much - will need more googling to find out more about THIS Hoffa....

His 'burial' there is urban myth. He was a union boss that ran afoul of the mob, who had him whacked and fitted with a cement coffin. It's akin to 'sleeping with the fishes' in the East River. Mess with the godfather and you will meet a colorful demise.

              Guess again.

Being a Brit, I have never

Jon I wasn't talking about you, my comment was about BigBlue86's post. C'mon, pay attention here.

Well you DID quote my post, so it's not like I had a complete lapse in attention....

Short throws that he fouled intentionally after witnessing where they landed.

I quoted you quoting him. Had you read carefully, you would've noticed .

No hostility meant, just trying to clear things up.

                      Of course, and no worries.

But I wasn't the only one who was confused by your 'quoting' (read guru's post underneath yours).

Not that it matters of course! ;-)

Why is Jon complaining about being misquoted?

It's not that I was misquoted - it was just that a few posts became a bit difficult to follow, due to the parts that had been quoted.

But I know there's a joke in your post somewhere......

There is nothing wrong with mediocre indoor performances, especially if you are training through the indoor season. Randy Barnes was struggling to throw 60'during the 1990 indoor season and we all know what he did later in the year. That is an extreme example (and probably had some other factors involved) but it does go to show you that the indoor season isn't a great predictor of outdoor sucess.
