Right. He left Hollinger a month ago - Lady Black's "extravagance that knows no bounds" (Vogue interview) required a wardrobe suited to one of the world's wealthiest women, which she wasn't. ($30M pilfered US dollars notwithstanding). I'd go for the Jerusalem Post or Chicago Sun Times as a Hollinger perspective-widening choice over the Pest anyday, since they weren't created to get the right elected in one country.

Anyway I digress.....maybe someone should let the Post know about the other side of modafinil (ps I read the Post too but the Blacks are irrestible comment stock)

I have used Modafinil

Not to change the direction of this thread, but I have personal experience with modafinil. I was diagnosed with Narc about 2 years ago and have used Provigil off and on since then. To be real honest I seriously doubt that the athletes gained much if any advantage using this compound. There is no real rushed or excited feeling like you get with excessive caffeine or ephedrine. I imagine after the smoke clears WADA will just regulate it like other stimulants and set a limit, but won't ban it completely. The helps you stay awake and aware, but isn't a beta-2 or 3 antagonist like other stimulants..

Also, why would you question why T&F wasn't mentioned in that article? I think sometimes people around here forget that to 95% of the world T&F isn't that big of a deal, except for the two weeks every four years during the olympics

I seriously doubt that it would act as a masking agent, as it is not a dirutetic (sp), and I doubt it has a similar atomic number as any anabolic agents.
I think that the only way it would work for an athlete would be at very high doses. My script is for 200mg a day, if you were to up the dose, then I imagine you might get something more out of it. At 200mg all I get out of it is awareness, for lack of a better term. It prevents me from falling asleep, and the feeling of constantly needing a nap.
