NFL drug policy?

This was probably covered in previous threads, but what is the NFL's policy for those who test positive for banned substances? Suspension? Warning?

I think this is of some relevance given Chambers now actively considering a sport switch should he lose out on his track appeal.

Seems bizarre (but not out of line for the NFL) that you can test positive in one sport but be unaffected in theirs.

GH -- I think what Upshaw MEANT to say was, "we've already dealt steroids, performance-enhancing drugs and all of that..."

Give them a break. They are too busy looking after serious problems:

That's right, here we go on another thread bashing the NFL. This serves no purpose but to deflect attention from the sad state of our own sport, which is in terrible shape as far as drugs go.

And for Chambers, this is a moot point; he has no chance of making it in the NFL.

Those are too funny. Wish I could be there the first time he gets hit by an NFL linebacker (if any teams are actually dumb enough to invite him to training camp, that is).

He does look a bit smaller; could be the effects of getting off the drugs.

In any event, he looks nowhere near big enough to be an NFL running back, nor did he look big enough before.
