  • Rusedski cleared.

Rusedski claims his trainer gave him the stuff (nandrolone) and the ATP said 'Great! You're cleared!'

Gees, how come this doesn't work with the IAAF?
    Inquiring minds want to know.

Usual non-T&F sport whitewash. The difference was that it was ATP trainers giving the players the gear, not their personal trainers. However, he tested + two months after the ATP warned players against taking the stuff. Who knows?

ATP doesn't have the "if it's in your body it's your responsibility" point of view; if you can convince them it was inadvertent, that's fine. (sigh)

Tennis is truly amazing. Apparently 8 have tested positive for nandrolone recently and all have cleared. Not only are they cleared but other athletes threatened to boycott if weren't.

What is to stop an athlete from taking steroids on their own, and then getting a drink from those Evil Trainers, and claiming they got it all from those E.T.'s?

Personally I think that the ATP has seen common sense over this issue where the IAAF has none. Rusedski was 0.5 nanograms over the allowable limit. This is not enough to enhance performance, compare 5.5 nanograms to CJ Hunter's 2000.
