According to the Outside cyclist, the answer to the question is yes but someone legitimately pointed out that one man's experience isn't scientific evidence.

And I say that if it did the Pentagon would have acquired every ounce possible and all the jet jockeys and snipers in the military would have 20-5 vision.

(Not to mention that we'd probably have had a rash of positives in sports like archery and shooting.)
