  • No Incentive in Cheating

WADA exclaimed January 30, 2004 that modafanil cases would receive a 2 year ban. When/where did the ball drop. Athletes receiving yet another even predictable slap on the wrist for cheating. I hope Kelli sings like a canary and every individual associated with BALCO's conspiracy receives just that, a conspiracy case.
Regardless of the ban being as little as 6 months or as much as a year for an athlete who tests positive, I believe they should be excluded from competing in the US Championships/Olympic Trials and the following Olympic Games. This approach relieves some inclination to cheat.

    Re: No Incentive in Cheating

Ban/fire cheats for lying and abusing their powers on the job, swindling their coworkers and customers, and swindling, conning, defrauding and bilking money that, in reality, may not have belonged to them under fair play rules.
