There are similar timelines elsewhere; they hardly ripped us off. Indeed, if you look through our timeline there are multiple citations of things that Murky News originated.

Which is a problem to those of us who teach journalism. As you have mentioned before, other sites (e.g. IAAF) like it when you take their copy and rerun it w/o citation. I'm sure that you and the Merc have a good working relationship - they would not go after you, or you them, for filching material. But I have to tell my students to cite everything and they think I'm nuts (which, of course, I never deny). Sigh.
