Lets hope the cheats get well and truly busted,and slung out of the sport.As a fan since 1968 I am sick to death of the drug corruption destroying the sport that I love.Also speaking from the UK,any truth in the press stories that Drug cheat Dwain Chambers is trying-out for US football?

As noted here months ago, Chambers was trying out for "US football" in the sense that he tried to hook on with an NFL-Europe team. No attempt to cross the pond and try the real brand of the game.

There is no way Chambers will be allowed to play in the NFL with his drug issues.

What skills (like, say, ability to hit a 150 km/h fastball or field a line drive) does Chambers have that suggests to you he might make a go at pro baseball?

Regardless of his past sins, he would start the game with a clean slate. Even then, the punishment in the NFL (noted for having a very low number of positives reported) would amount to little more than a slap on the wrist.

It is laughable even to think that Chambers could make a go of it in NFL Europe, let along the real NFL. He would get slaughtered in either league.

US pro leagues don't care if you fail steroids tests. Many famous athletes have. Also Chambers never played rugby beyond gym class so his ability to take a hit is seriously in doubt. Also if you have never worn pads and tried to run and cut in cleats it's not easy to do. Let alone catch the ball. Ben Johnson tried a similar thing back when he was banned in the late 80's and he failed for the same reasons.
