  • Ivory Crockett

Crockett was virtually unknown when he won the US-championships in 1969 (beating Carlos and Greene).
A couple of weeks earlier, however, he had won the USTFF-championships (Lexington, june 13) in 9,5.
Antbody who knows who was second and third ??

      Re: Ivory Crockett

Larry Highbaugh of Indiana and Mel Hurd of Notre Dame.

Later that year T&FN had a feature on Crockett with the unforgettable headline:

Ivory (as Soap) Crockett (as Davy) Fast (as Hell)
