Willie Gault still fast!

I was tooling around the internet and I found out that Willie Gault still runs in the masters track and field.

At 44 years old that is amazing.

Yeah, ol' Willie ran 39-inch hurdles in his masters races.

Isn't he the world record holder in the 100 metres for the 40 year old age group? I know James Lofton was in the mix too....

Willie ran 10.49 in '05, but age 40 WR is 10.29 (1.9w) by Troy Douglas(Netherlands)
That's impressive. Saw him run anchor on their 4x1 at Paris WCh. Some of the sport's most outstanding athletes go unnoticed (understandably... the WCh isn't a venue where 'masters' athletes should get much fanfare. Although I recall Merlene Ottey got an ovation..)

Right Douglas competed in the worlds at around 40 and semifinaled for Holland.
