I recently came across a videotape someone had copied for me awhile back of Bubka, Billy Olson, and Joe Dial jumping at Millrose sometime in the '80s. The tape also had several interviews on it with these three vaulters as well as some footage from some other US indoor meets (I think Chicago and LA). It seems like it was an incredible season, the WR being traded back and forth between these three guys several times. However, nowhere on the tape was the year mentioned. Perhaps someone can tell me what year this was?
