      Gerry was a great runner! I saw many of his races including his Olympic race and his world record in the race with Mills in San Diego. That was one of the most thrilling races I have seen! What I do not understand is that if he was 18 in 1964, how is it that he is 55 now? Running certainly is good for you.

          Birthdate March 9 1946. Lindgren will be 60 in less than 2 months.

            ESPN SportsCenter had a short story on GL; showed his 1964 10K win against the USSR. He's a tragic person.
