Happy birthday today (Wednesday) to an Olympic champion who won that gold medal at the first of two Olympic Games.

This athlete did not compete in the Olympic hurdles.

Our birthday person was born 87 years ago today and died at the age of 66.

You may already know that this individual was not the favorite going into either of those two Olympic Games.

An Olympic champion, from another event about 60 years before our birthday athlete won Olympic gold, shares the same initials with our mystery athlete.

Also, a fairly famous actor from movies and television shares these same initials. I could tell you that this actor is untouchable and the other Olympic champion is not a shot in the dark.

By now, you have probably figured out the correct name of our birthday athlete for this very first day of April.

No fooling, please name this champion.

Robert Shavlakadze it is, Pego. Very nice. You know him as the winner of the 1960 Rome Olympic high jump. You are absolutely right, Master403. He died at the age of 86 (about 28 days ago) and not 66. Thank you, Master403, for that correction.

Yes, Robert Stack (actor) and the shot put winner from Paris in 1900, Richard Sheldon.

Thanks. I knew neither of those names, frankly speaking.

Frank Olli. That would be a nice name. But perhaps I'll stick to my original one (Olli being my first name).

Just referring to the "frankly speaking".

I got that. I am bad at English puns but not that bad (Didn't get the shot thing at first.)

By the way, I am not among these:

But I do understand the importance of being Frank, to misquote Oscar Wilde.

Here's a gay joke - that Martina Navratilova told - so its OK - two lesbians are arguing about something and one says to the other, "Let me be frank with you." The other one, puzzled, says, "Wait a minute, I thought I was Frank?"
