  • Silver Into Gold

Happy 45th birthday today (Tuesday) to an Olympic champion who competed in three Olympic Games and won two Olympic medals in the same event.

Don't even worry about the hurdles for this athlete.

Take these three words and rearrange the letters to get a big clue: "Eare Orf Seale".

I'll bet you know our birthday athlete for this first Tuesday of July.

Must be Adam Nelson who finished 2nd in 2004, but was elevated to Gold after Yuri Bilonoh's disqualification.

Happy birthday today to Adam Nelson (45). Very good, gmak. Nelson competed in Sydney, Athens, and Beijing. He took the shot put silver medal in Sydney and then the gold four years later in Athens. Adam is one of our youngest birthday athletes.

No wonder, it should have read: "Aera Orf Seale", which translates to "Area For Lease". Those of you who remember Adam Nelson will remember "Space For Rent".
