      obvious choice was Mancini's next cop show, Mr. Lucky; both came out when I first joined the RCA record club (remember that ripoff?). Those two albums were probably among the first five i ever bought (along with, off the top of my head, Guy Warren doing Talking Drums and Boogie-Woogie Revisited by various artists).

        I've thought about this for a bit. And I like the 3 choices given so far (Peter Gunn, Perry Mason, Mr.Lucky). I'd add Hawaii-5-0. With honorable mention for Mission Impossible, Bonanza (way better than the show itself), M*A*S*H* (though that was taken from the movie), and Andy Griffith's whistling theme song (because it was catchy but also conveyed the show's content so much).
