Happy birthday today (Sunday) to an Olympic champion who, like yesterday's (Saturday) birthday athlete, competed in two events at just one Olympic Games.

Today's birthday person set five world records over approximately three years.

Born 94 years ago today in February, our birthday individual died at the age of 48 and some say it might have been suicide.

Don't worry about the hurdles with this champion's Olympic events.

The father of this athlete was an alcoholic and more than likely, so was our birthday athlete.

You can take the nine letters in our title, rearrange those nine letters, and come up with a big clue to help you discover our birthday athlete for this first Sunday of February.

Our birthday person did not win Olympic gold in Europe.

By now, I imagine you might already know who this person is.

If you can, please name our birthday athlete.

Vladimir Kuts it is. Nice going, bambam1729. Kuts was born 94 years ago today and he won two gold medals in Melbourne five days apart. He won the 10,000 on the penultimate Friday of November and the 5,000 on the final Wednesday of November in 1956.

I guess I gave it away by telling you not to worry about the hurdles.

Thank you bambam1729, KDFINE, and dukehjsteve.
