I do not usually follow relays so keenly, but I remember him as Dennis the Menace's full-namesake.

Yes, Alma Richards was a man. Happy birthday yesterday (Saturday) to Dennis Mitchell (55). Dennis ran at three Olympic Games (1988, 1992, and 1996). He was fourth in the 100 in Seoul and did not make the four by 100 relay final in 1988.

Mitchell won two medals in Barcelona (1992). He got the bronze medal in the 100 and the gold medal in the four by 100 relay where he ran the second leg. The U.S. team set a world record of 37.40.

In Atlanta (1996), Mitchell was fourth in the 100 (just like Seoul) and he anchored the silver medal U.S. four by 100 relay team in Georgia. Mitchell also won two World Championship gold medals and two World Championship bronze medal.

      Nice going, Olli.

      Thank you Olli and Tuariki.
