Does anyone have any information on this fraternity?

It was founded in 1912. The original criteria to join was:

    1. 100-yard dash in 11.6 seconds

    2. 220-yard hurdles in 31 seconds

    3. high jump of 5 feet

    4. broad jump of 17 feet,

    5. 16-pound shot put of 30 feet for men 160 pounds or more, less for those who weigh less

    6. baseball throw of 250 feet

    7. 40-yard football punt

    8. 100-yard swim in one minute, 45 sec.

    9. pole vault 8 feet 6 inches

    10. 2-mile run in 12 minutes

    11. hand stand for 10 seconds with legs fully erect

    12. 10-mile walk in 2 hours

My questions are how difficult would those marks have been considered back then? Does anyone know the time frame the candidate had to complete them in?

      I would not call a 10-mile walk in 2 hours a "walk,"

My mistake. That should be 2 hours, 30 minutes. Looks like the rest are correct.

The national organization disbanded in 2009. The requirements changed over the years.

It looks like in 1937, according to an online article I found, they were:
        1. 100-yard dash in 11.6 seconds

        2. 120 yard low hurdles in 16 seconds

        3. high jump of 5 feet

        4. broad jump of 17 feet,

        5. 20-foot rope climb in 12 seconds

        6. baseball throw of 250 feet

        7. 40-yard football punt

        8. 100-yard swim in one minute, 45 sec.

        9. mile run in six minutes

        10. front-hand spring

        11. hand stand for 10 seconds

        12. fence vault

Most of those are pretty modest requirements but I doubt many of us practiced the handspring, handstand, or fence vault.
