    I mentioned it because the obituary which is linked to on this forum, brings it up. I thought they were wrong to bring it up because I thought that steroids were not yet banned. I was looking for confirmation of my belief. It was wrong for the N.Y. Times to add this speculative element to her obituary.

    From the translation of this site, she died in Moscow.

    Of course, they mistakenly rounded her age up to 84 (which she would have reached on May 10), so who knows of its reliability.

    Tamara Press, multiple Olympics and European Gold Medalist in the SP and DT died at age 83.
    She had a sister Irina, also a quality athlete!
    I remember her name as being very prominent in my early days of reading T&FN!
