          According to Merriam-Webster, historical is the general term meaning ‘pertaining to history’ while historic has come to mean famous or legendary. So I submit to you that DJ is more historic than historical. Btw, Merriam-Webster also says that the article “a” is generally used in preference to “an”, although both are correct.

            This is, however, a "Forum devoted to track & field items of an historical nature." (As a non-native English user I wondered about the "an" in some previous thread, and as far as I remember gh considered it more sophisticated or something like that.)
