Having occasion to go through the Aug 26 1965 TN, I read with pleasure a profile on his career. He had a losing record (3-4) to only one man. Name him.

nope
But I just discovered to my horror that I'm a big fat liar!! All losses were at 200m/220y. Hayes finished 2nd to this man thrice and 3rd to this man and another in the 4th race.
The first 3 were in 62 and the last was at the 64 FOT!
So 79, you're on!

My ignorance of Drayton's career is that he came just before my rise to sentience in 66-67. I have familarized myself with many from the earlier 60s, but somehow he is a blank spot in my self-education. No more!
Sorry for the early misdirect, 79, you were on the right track all along. And bambam is a Pro anyway!!
