Multiple sources say 5'3" and personally I can't think of any athlete at 5'0' who is anywhere close unless it's a distance runner. What does SAFP mean?

No doubt. But Devers ran both the 100 and hurdles in the same Olympics?

                  SMU (Shaunae Miller-Uibo)
MJ (Well, could be any of 3--Michael Jordan, Michael Johnson, orr Marion Jones)
                  SFH (Suzy Favor Hamilton)
                  Mondo (aka Armand)

More seriously, I believe Guy Texereau (sp??), A French Steepler from the 50's, was just 5-3!!
His best was about 8:35, a very good time in those days!
And Steeple hurdles are, of course, far more difficult to navigate than Devers's!!

Are you talking only about track and field athletes? Because outside of track and field there have been a lot of great short women, like Simone Biles.

Marching to the beat of a different drummer does not apply to the spelling of other people's names. It's Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, with two hyphens, and Elaine Thompson-Herah, with one hyphen. Direct from the sources:
