Hyphenated last names

Disclaimer: I am not serious.
I wish athletes would stop with all those unwieldy hyphenated names like Ikauniece-Admidina and Debues-Stafford, they are so cumbersome. But I admit that some hyphenated names are pretty cool, like Johnson-Thompson, Ter-Ovanessian and Iso-Hollo.

The all time winner here was Gale Zaphiropoulis-Doliegewicz, which I almost certainly misspelled.

A hyphenated name that has a good ring to it is Mikko Ala-Leppilampi.

And there was an East German speed skater who competed for a while as Gunda Kleemann-Niemann-Stirnemann.

That might have been what I'm remembering. It was at the '92 trials and a bunch of us were sitting in the stands, at night, yourself and Jed among them. You likely told us the tale.

But from wikipedia it apperas that Johnson-Thompson combines the surnames of both of her parents.
