I probably heard it before sometime but don't remember it. Former TV anchor Howard K. Smith was Tulane rec. holder in the 110's (1936,14.74) He is still listed on their all-time list.
His rec. lasted decades so while he was doing the news for ABC he was still the holder.

Remember him well. One of the few TV anchors who presented the new fairly during the Nixon years. Unlike others (e.g. avuncular Cronkite) who were only too pleased to perpetuate many of Tricky Dicky lies.
