And to address your claim that Mo wasn't a good starter....I see where you're coming from, but he indeed was a great starter. But, I completely agree with your allegations of HSI's constant FS crap. It's a well known fact within the sprinting elite that Mo and Ato (Mo, particularly) would rise to the "set" position and rock forward at the same time and NEVER come to a complete stop or set position prior to the gun going off. Mo was always the last one to raise his ass at the set call and he never, ever came set, he was always still moving when the gun went off. John Smith taught that, and Ato, Mo and JD executed it very well. Fact.
In regards to the tying of the wr, I was just commenting on the one meet because I was there. I don't know what went down in Madrid. And I agree completely about the rolling starts, I commented on that earlier. What happens is that a rolling start gives the appearance of good acc when in fact actual inertia is not overcome, because it was never there to begin with. So what I'm saying is that his acc was good, but it's difficult to tell what he really could do because of the cheating. When someone rolls or blatantly gets a flyer, it destroys the entire dynamics of a race because of the reaction to the early movement by the other competitiors and the impulse to change the race model to do what's necessary to get back into the race. A rolling start can be worth up to .10-.12 sec not counting on the confidence or relaxation that is provided by being comfortably ahead after 30m.

Thank God. No need for your further pontificating. Now we can get on with the subject at hand. Thanks for the break!

You said you were going away, remember?
not any point in reading any further after that
I would hope that you are a man of your word. I guess not. You don't read very well either..........
          I don't consider Mo a great starter.
That's what I said, I didn't say that Mo was a "poor" starter. I said that he was a "rolling starter" and I said that he had great acceleration, which is different from the start. Once again, you've read wrong and added your own interpretation. Now again, please go away like you promised, so the rest of us that know how to read and comprehend, can discuss this and have a good time.

Javier Sotomayor with Dragan Tancic, although I'm not sure if he could have done any better.
If you're ever walking down the beach and you see a girl dressed in a bikini made out of seashells, and you pick her up and hold her to your ear, you can hear her scream.

thanks for getting back on topic.......what about Mike Powell with Tellez instead of Hunnington? More consistant on the board, maybe 29+ on several occasions instead of that one time...

Actually, Tom Tellez and CL are the definitive pairing that this thread is about. No offense, folks, but anyone who second guesses the way TT coached CL is an idiot.

LOL, I'm glad you said it. One thing about track and field, there are always some clowns who would say something as outrageous as "well, I know MJ ran 19.32 for 200m but if he was with Coach X, he could've run sub 19!" Give me a break!........anyway, back on topic, what about Kim Batten with Bobby Kersee?

I've already starting seeing it with Xavier and fill in the blank (Smith, Hart, etc.), as if Shaver is out there reading out of "T&F for Dummies" during X's workouts.
