    That woman was Flo-Jo. The correct way to spell her name is Florence Griffith Joyner (No Hypen in her name only in Flo-Jo)
    Women 100m World records was set on this date 7-16-88.. 18 years ago...

        And the answer to your question its only one other Woman sprinter that I can recall that had 4 rounds that was all legal wind was Marion Jones 2002 OT

                          I believe you refer to the 2001 World Championships at Edmonton. So a noteworthy sidebar is that Marion Jones lost in the 100m final to Zhanna Block. I was there, saw that upset, and noted considerable surprise expressed by others in attendance.

                            in england, where they probably invented double-barreled names for the anglicised world, we woud alwayz expect

                            to be formally ( cheque book / bills / bank account,etc ) spelt as :

                            Florence Griffith-Joyner

                            is it common in US to have a double-barreled surname without the

                            -

                            ?
