Thanks for everyone's help. Yeah, I am sure they are 100yd hurdles. I found it listed in numerous locations, but I don't know what the height was. So, I think I will take the advice and keep the two separate and just have a 100yd hurdles list also. Thanks again.

Are you sure the older marks are 100-yard hurdles?
In the early- and mid-'70s, the most common distance in the early days of high school girls track was 80y, with 30" hurdles. But by the late-'70s, schools had mostly switched to 110y(30"), and then quickly to the 100-meter (30") hurdles when the states went metric.
It was the early-'80s when most states switched the height to the present 33".
So you're probably dealing with two factors here, the length of the race and the height of the hurdles. Perhaps best to leave well enough alone and keep the two lists separate.

a. there isn't one.
b. any 'conversion' factor wouldn't be able to handle all the variables.
c. if you want to guess, I'd subtract 1 second from the 100yH time, multiple that time by 1.1 and add the second back in. That'll get as close as anything.

100 yard hurdles conversion?
I'm working on a high school record book for the team I coach and I have been unable to find a conversion for the 100yd hurdles to the 100m hurdles for girls. I know the conversion from 100yd-100m is +.9, but I was unsure if it was the same for the hurdles. Thanks for any help you can give.Tags: None
