New hall of fame electees

Just announced today John Carlos, Mary Decker Slaney, Larry James and Mike Larabee have been elected to the National Track and Field Hall of Fame.

What ever happened to the case against Slaney? I saw that thread a few weeks ago but didn't have time to read the very long posts (I am at work after all!). I tried chatting her up in a bar in Oslo about 20+ years ago...obviously didn't succeed as she married my team mate!

Congratulations to all the electees each is truly deserving of this great honor. I am especially happy for the Great Larry James who few weeks ago had his nomination challenged. His election is an added certification of his greatness and ongoing contributions to the sport.
